We collect tangible things because they are our memories, and we build a world with them

Two brilliant albums out today.

My mother took my grandmother out to look for clothes this afternoon, so I offered to stay with my grandfather

The western wind howls.

June

Lethe

Webs and insect wings
volcanic ash forged into edges
lintels.

July

Adoration

Father’s words have rooted
subsumed beneath mother’s bearded
irises, feeling their way through sweet peas
variegated ivy and carrots early
for the sun, celebrated by larcenous deer.

August

Visitations

Metal begins to show through his cream plaster mantle.

September

Kindness

To whomever paid Keisa's vet bill: we had thought it was relatives, which is why I hadn't mentioned it when we found out last week.

October

The  Halls of Bian Zhong

The walls are struck.

November

Sing the City

At first it is a hush.

December

Swallow the East

In each of his pockets a fragment of wind.

***
My usual disregard for upbeat subjects, more writing and music.  I have had quite enough of what this year has wrought, and I will leave its bones in the fire pit where they belong.

If you say so. *shuffles*

I haven't seen 47 Ronin and have heard very little about it, so if you're looking for a movie rec I'd say Hobbit.

Like I said random (and going by trailers for 47 Ronin of course;). The verdict is definitely Hobbit.
